Mariano Rivera to be Honored Before Game 2

The Commissioner’s Historic Achievement Award is “to recognize achievements and contributions of historical significance.” I couldn’t think of a better fit to get the award than Mariano Rivera. If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times, the man is a legend. His all-time saves record might never be broken. He’s a class act all around. Congrats to Mariano. He deserves it.
