Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced today that the club has acquired right-handed pitcher Nick Vincent from the San Diego Padres in exchange for a player to be named later (PTBNL).
 
With today's roster move, the Mariners Major League, 40-man, roster is full at 40 players.
 
Vincent, 29, appeared in 26 games in four separate stints with the Padres last season, posting a 0-1 record with a 2.35 earned run average (23.0 IP, 6 ER). In the month of September, he pitched in 13 games and did not allow a run (9.1 IP).
 
He made 40 relief appearances with AAA El Paso in 2015 and was 5-3 with 1 save and a 3.04 earned run average (50.1 IP, 17 ER).
 
In four Major League seasons with San Diego (2012-15), he has combined to go 9-6 with 1 save and a 2.63 ERA (44 ER, 150.2 IP) with 161 strikeouts in 161 relief appearances (150.2 IP).
 
Vincent has made 9 appearances this spring with San Diego, recording 1 save, and allowing 5 ER in 8.1 innings (5.40 ERA).
 
The right-hander was originally selected by San Diego in the 18^th round of the 2008 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Long Beach State University.
