Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced the following roster moves before tonight's game vs. the Baltimore Orioles.
Benoit (#53) will be available for tonight's game vs. the Orioles.
 
Benoit, 38, is 1-0 with 2 holds and a 3.60 ERA (2 ER, 5.0 IP) with 4 strikeouts in 5 relief appearances this season. His placement on the disabled list was retroactive to April 22, the day following his last appearance (4/21 at Cleveland). Benoit was acquired from San Diego this offseason in a three-player trade on Nov. 12.
The 6-foot-4, 250-pound right-hander is a veteran of 15 Major League seasons with Texas (2001-2008), Tampa Bay (2010), Detroit (2011-2013), San Diego (2014-2015) and Seattle (2015). He has a combined record of 55-42 with 50 saves and a 3.84 ERA (416 ER, 975.1 IP). For his career, Benoit has limited opposing hitters to a .223 batting average against, including a .213 mark by left-handed hitters (.233 vs. RHH).
Guaipe, 25, made 5 appearances this season allowing 8 hits and 6 runs (4 earned runs) in 7.1 innings pitched (4.91 ERA) with Seattle after being recalled on April 25. Before his recall, Guaipe recorded 3 saves with a 2.16 ERA (2 ER, 8.1 IP) with 6 strikeouts in 6 games with AAA Tacoma.
