Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced the following roster moves prior to today's (1:10 pm PT) game vs. the Los Angeles Angels:
· Nick Vincent, RHP, activated from the 15-day disabled list.
· Mike Freeman, INF, recalled from AAA Tacoma.
· Luis Sardiñas, INF, optioned to AAA Tacoma (post-game 8/6).
· Cody Martin, RHP, optioned to AAA Tacoma. 
Vincent (#50) and Freeman (#6) will be in uniform and available for today's (1:10 pm PT) game vs. the Angels. 
Vincent, 30, made one rehab appearance with Short-A Everett, striking out three in 1.0 shutout inning on Aug. 5. He is 2-3 with 1 save with a 3.47 ERA (14 ER, 36.1 IP) with 42 strikeouts and 9 walks in 35 games with Seattle this season. At the time of his DL placement, Vincent led Seattle in appearances (35) while also leading Mariners relievers in strikeouts (42) and ranking 2nd among relievers in innings pitched (36.1 IP). Vincent earned the win in his Mariners debut, April 5 at Texas, tossing 1.0 scoreless inning with 2 strikeouts.
In parts of 5 Major League seasons with San Diego (2012-15) and Seattle (2016), Vincent is 11-9 with 2 saves with a 2.79 ERA (14 ER, 36.1 IP) with 203 strikeouts and 48 walks in 196 career appearances, all in relief. He was acquired from San Diego in exchange for player to be named later on Mar. 30, 2016.
Freeman, 29, hit .421 (8x19) with 6 runs, 2 doubles, 1 home run and 5 RBI in four games with Tacoma after being claimed off waivers from Arizona on Monday (Aug. 1). With the Rainiers, he appeared in games at second base, shortstop and center field. Prior to his acquisition, he hit .317 (108x341) with 56 runs, 17 doubles, 6 triples, 1 home run, 24 RBI, 38 walks, 11 stolen bases, a .387 on-base percentage and a .411 slugging percentage in 88 games with AAA Reno this season. Freeman appeared at 2nd base (71 games, 69 starts), center field (11 G, 9 GS), right field (7 G, 3 GS), left field (5 G) and 1st base (4 G, 1 GS) in 88 games with Reno. In 8 games with the Diamondbacks this season, Freeman is 0-for-9 with 2 walks in 11 plate appearances, 9 as a pinch-hitter. In parts of 7 minor league seasons with Arizona and Seattle, he is a career .291 (761x2619) with 129 doubles, 29 triples, 16 home runs and 260 RBI in 720 career games. Freeman was originally selected in the 11th round of the 2010 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Clemson University.
Sardiñas, 23, has hit .181 (13x72) with 12 runs, 2 home runs and 5 RBI in 32 games during three stints with the Mariners this season. In 32 games with Seattle, he has appeared in games at shortstop (18 G, 15 GS), 2nd base (3 G, 1 GS), 3rd base (3 GS), 1st base (3 G) and left field (1 GS). With AAA Tacoma, he was hitting .250 (40x160) with 17 runs, 4 doubles and 17 RBI in 42 games.
Martin, 26, was 1-2 with a 2.70 ERA (3 ER, 10.0 IP) with 5 strikeouts in 5 relief appearances in two stints with Seattle. He was 9-6 with a 3.95 ERA (43 ER, 98.0 IP) with 96 strikeouts and 30 walks in 22 games (17 starts) with AAA Tacoma. Martin earned the win in his Mariners debut, tossing 1.0 scoreless inning while allowing 1 hit on June 2 at San Diego. Seattle originally claimed Martin off waivers from Oakland on Oct. 29, 2015.
