Mariners add 7 players to active roster
RHP Carson Smith and C Humberto Quintero selected to 40-man roster.
SEATTLE, Wash. - Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jack Zduriencik announced the following roster moves as the rosters as rosters area allowed to expand on September 1:
- Corey Hart, DH, returned from rehab assignment with AAA Tacoma and activated from 15-day disabled list
- Justin Smoak, 1B, recalled from AAA Tacoma
- Stefen Romero, OF, recalled from AAA Tacoma
- Taijuan Walker, RHP, recalled from AAA Tacoma
- Lucas Luetge, LHP, recalled from AAA Tacoma
- Humberto Quintero, C, selected from AAA Tacoma
- Carson Smith, RHP, selected from AAA Tacoma
- Willie Bloomquist, UTL, transferred from 15-day to 60-day disabled list (right knee surgery)
Smith (#39) and Quintero (#35) are the only players that have not appeared with the Mariners this season.
