The Mariners will not have to go through an arbitration hearing in 2016.
The club avoided such a situation with its final two arbitration-eligible players ahead of Friday's deadline, agreeing to one-year contracts with left-handed pitcher Charlie Furbush and right-hander Evan Scribner. Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
Seattle previously reached a one-year agreement with its only other eligible player, outfielder Leonys Martin.
Furbush posted a 2.08 ERA over 33 relief appearances last season before going on the disabled list on July 9. The 29-year-old missed the rest of the season with left biceps tendinitis and a slight rotator cuff tear. Since shifting full-time to the bullpen in 2012, Furbush owns a 3.23 ERA, a .196 opponents' average and 201 strikeouts over 175 1/3 innings.

Seattle acquired Scribner from Oakland on Dec. 8. The 30-year-old made a career-high 54 appearances for the A's in 2015, producing a 4.35 ERA but striking out 64 and walking only four in 60 innings. That 16-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio and rate of 0.6 walks per nine innings both led all Major League relievers.
