Mariners first "Bark at the Park" sold out

The first-ever Seattle Mariners "Bark at the Park," presented by AvoDerm and Nylabone, where fans get to bring their best friends out to Safeco Field and walk around the bases postgame, is sold out. Attendance for the Tuesday, July 8 event was capped at 300 dogs and 1,200 people in the special section.

In addition to presenting sponsors, participating sponsors include Central Garden and Pet, Tony La Russa's Animal Rescue Foundation and the Pets Add Life Campaign.

All people and dogs participating in "Bark at the Park" will be in seating sections 306-310 above right field on the Upper Level. Dogs will not be allowed in any other areas of the ballpark before or during the game. Only those who have purchased tickets in the special "Bark at the Park" sections will be allowed to bring their dogs to the game. All ticketed participants will receive a free Mariners bandana for their dog and collapsible water dish, courtesy of event sponsors.

All owners and their dogs must enter the ballpark through the Right Field Gate, which opens at 5:10pm. There will be "comfort stations" for dogs are various locations near the Safeco Field parking garage, at the Right Field Gate and outside the "Bark at the Park" section.

All participating dogs must be at least six months old, fully housetrained, and on leash at all times. Owners must also present proof of current rabies vaccinations for their dogs and sign a waiver form.

A veterinarian will be on hand before and during the game in case of emergency, injury or illness, courtesy of VCA Animal Hospitals.

There will be a pregame presentation during which a donation will be made to Tony LaRussa's Animal Rescue Foundation.
