Guti's recovery likely to take 2-3 weeks

SEATTLE -- Mariners outfielder Franklin Gutierrez underwent an MRI exam on Thursday that revealed a Grade 1 (minor) strain to his right hamstring.

"It's tough to put a timetable on it, but it's probably two or three weeks," Mariners manager Eric Wedge said.

Gutierrez is batting .259 with four home runs and was tied for the team lead in RBIs (10) heading into Thursday's action.
