To celebrate the upcoming 4th of July holiday and Nelson Cruz's 20th home run blast on Tuesday night at Safeco Field, the Seattle Mariners are offering a $20 ticket special for Saturday's game against the Baltimore Orioles.
Select Main Level (100 Level) seats are available for the low price of $20. While supplies last, fans purchasing the specially priced tickets will get a limited edition Red White & BOOM T-shirt. Cruz is fourth in the American League in home runs. Ahead of him are Mark Trumbo of the Baltimore Orioles, who has 23, Todd Frazier of the Chicago White Sox with 22, and Edwin Encarnacion of the Toronto Blue Jays with 21. ESPN.com projects Cruz is on pace for 42 home runs this season.
Cruz's 20th homer came with two outs in the 5th inning of Tuesday's game off Pittsburgh's Jonathan Niese. The two-run shot landed mid-way up the Left Field bleachers above Edgar's Home Run Porch. This marks the eighth consecutive season Cruz has hit 20 or more home runs. He is the only player in MLB with an active streak of 20 or more homers in each of the last eight seasons.
