Mariners recall RHP Dominic Leone from AAA Tacoma

LHP James Paxton placed on 15-day disabled list

SEATTLE, Wash. -- Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager Jack Zduriencik announced the following roster moves which will be in place for tonight's game vs. the Cleveland Indians:

• Dominic Leone, RHP, recalled from AAA Tacoma
• James Paxton, LHP, placed on 15-day DL (strained tendon in middle finger of left hand)

Leone, 23, was 0-3 with a 5.40 ERA (5 ER, 8.1 IP) with 4 strikeouts in 8 appearances earlier this season with Seattle after being recalled on April 13. In two stints with AAA Tacoma this season, he was 1-1 with a 7.71 ERA (8 ER, 9.1 IP) with 8 strikeouts in 8 relief appearances.

Paxton, 26, left yesterday's game against Cleveland in the 5th inning and was placed on the 15-day disabled list today with a strained tendon in the middle finger of his left hand. In 10 starts with Seattle, he was 3-3 with a 3.70 ERA (24 ER, 58.1 IP) with 45 strikeouts.
