Mariners Statement Regarding Dr. Larry Pedegana

Seattle Mariners President Kevin Mather made the following statement regarding the passing of former team physician and medical director Dr. Larry Pedegana:

"Larry Pedegana was a very important member of the Mariners organization from its inception in 1977 to 2006. His contributions of his skill and advice and service to our franchise, our players and our training staff are too many to mention. Larry often went above and beyond to take care of the Mariners and our families. We are indebted to him for his dedication to Mariners baseball.

"On behalf of the Mariners, I extend my deepest sympathy to his family and many friends."

A celebration of Dr. Pedegana's life will take place at Safeco Field on Sunday, December 13, from 1-5pm. The program will begin at 2:30pm.
