All-Star Felix Hernandez and the Mariners take on Adam Jones & the AL Wild Card leading Baltimore Orioles starting Monday

King’s Court, Kid’s Run The Bases, Hot Dog Chowdown highlight 3-team homestand.

LEADING OFF: The Mariners will host the surprising Baltimore Orioles for a three-game set starting Monday as Hisashi Iwakuma makes the first start of his career. The Orioles, led by a trio of American League All-Stars, will make their first trip to Safeco Field. All-Stars Adam Jones (.300/19 HR/41 RBI), Matt Wieters (14 2B, 11 HR, 38 RBI) and closer Jim Johnson (1.30 ERA, 23 saves) have led Baltimore’s resurgence this season as they look to catch the New York Yankees atop the AL East standings.   • Katie Flood, 2012 NCAA 1,500-meter Champion Ceremonial First Pitch - Flood ran the 1,500 in 4 minutes, 13.79 seconds to capture the first outdoor NCAA title for Washington since 2006. It is the second NCAA title for Flood, who anchored Washington's distance medley relay to the program's first indoor championship last March. She becomes the first Husky woman with multiple NCAA titles.

This year’s contests including 2011 champ Kevin Shockey (KJR Radio), Ryan Divish (Tacoma News Tribune), Chris Egan (KING TV), Jesse Jones (KING TV), Nobu Kobayashi (Daily Sports), Larry Stone (Seattle Times), Bill Wixey (KCPQ). The winner will receive the respect of his soft-stomached competitors and $1,000 to the charity of choice.
