Mariners trade infielder Luis Sardiñas to San Diego Padres

Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced that the club has traded infielder Luis Sardiñas to the San Diego Padres in exchange for a Player to be Named Later (PTBNL) or cash considerations.

Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced that the club has traded infielder Luis Sardiñas to the San Diego Padres in exchange for a Player to be Named Later (PTBNL) or cash considerations.
Sardiñas, 23, was designated for assignment by Seattle on Aug. 10.
Sardiñas hit .252 (41x163) with 17 runs, four doubles and 17 RBIs in 44 games in with Triple-A Tacoma. He hit .181 (13-for-72) with 12 runs, two home runs and five RBIs in 32 games during three stints with the Mariners this season.
Sardiñas was acquired by Seattle from Milwaukee in exchange for outfielder Ramon Flores on Nov. 20, 2015.
