SEATTLE -- Before Friday night, Wade LeBlanc's last Major League win was on Sept. 23, 2014.
LeBlanc only gave up two runs on three hits in a six-inning start to earn the "W" in the Mariners' 5-2 victory over the Orioles.
"Not an easy lineup to navigate through with all the power they have," manger Scott Servais said. "But he kind of took some sting out of their bats and kept them off balance. Some balls were hit pretty good at some people and you need that, but he doesn't walk guys and he goes right after them. It was a really, really good outing."

It was LeBlanc's second start with the Mariners. The first was on June 24, two days after the Mariners acquired him from Toronto. He had been pitching in Triple-A Buffalo all season, following a year spent playing in Japan.
Servais and general manager Jerry Dipoto knew LeBlanc from the Angels, and he played with Mariners catcher Chris Iannetta in Los Angeles. That combination of factors has eased his transition onto a new team.
"I've been fortunate enough to get in here with a good team, with great chemistry and a catcher that's familiar with me, and a manger and a GM that are familiar with me," Le Blanc said. "So it's a really comfortable situation."
Iannetta's knowledge of LeBlanc's pitching style played a big role in Friday's win. LeBlanc said he was struggling with control, but Iannetta got him back on track.
"He uses his changeup and knows that's his weapon," Servais said. "But he has enough fastball and locates it well to keep them off the changeup. I thought he and Chris worked very well together tonight, very good game plan and they executed it."
Against the Orioles, who have the most home runs of any team in the league (125), LeBlanc gave up one solo shot to Chris Davis. Baltimore got their other run off him in the third inning, the only other inning that he allowed a hit, with a double and an RBI single.
