MIAMI -- Brian Anderson impressed the Marlins' coaching staff during Spring Training, while Tayron Guerrero pitched for Colombia in the World Baseball Classic.
The two are teammates at Double-A Jacksonville, but they will be on competing sides in the Sirius XM All-Star Futures Game.

Major League Baseball announced Thursday the rosters for the United States and World Team, and Anderson and Guerrero will represent the Marlins. The 2017 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game takes place on Sunday, July 9, at 4 p.m. ET at Marlins Park in Miami and can be viewed live on MLB Network and MLB.com.
Anderson, a third baseman, will play for the U.S., which will be managed by Charles Johnson, the Marlins' former All-Star catcher and key contributor on the 1997 World Series title team. Former Marlins pitcher Al Leiter will serve as pitching coach.
Guerrero, a 6-foot-8, 210-pounder, will pitch for the World Team, which will be managed by Edgar Renteria, who delivered the Game 7-winning hit for the Marlins in the '97 Fall Classic. A number of former Marlins will be on the coaching staff, including Alex Fernandez (pitching), Livan Hernandez (pitching) and Luis Castillo (bench).
Anderson is Miami's third-ranked prospect, according to MLBPipeline.com, and Guerrero rates No. 17.
Marlins manager Don Mattingly got a good look at Anderson in the spring.
"I thought he was really good in Spring Training," Mattingly said. "There's a lot of good things to see. His physical presence, he's a good-sized kid, good demeanor, good swing. He has a good idea of the strike zone. He uses the whole field. The ball kind of jumped off his bat."
At Jacksonville, Anderson is batting .259/.353/.445 with 11 home runs and 42 RBIs.
Guerrero has a power arm, but he has issued a high number of walks. The 26-year-old has a 4.76 ERA in 11 1/3 innings with Jacksonville, with 17 strikeouts and 12 walks.
"Tayron has a big arm," Mattingly said. "We didn't see a whole lot of command, so that command stuff was probably his biggest issue. These are two promising guys."
The Futures Game has a history of featuring the stars of tomorrow. Christian Yelich was a star in the event in 2013 at Citi Field in New York.
"A lot of the guys that you end up seeing in the big leagues come quickly after the Futures Game," Mattingly said. "So I think being in that game is probably a good feeling."
