Marlins announce 2014 Spring Training schedule

The Miami Marlins today announced their 2014 Spring Training schedule, which includes 19 games at Roger Dean Stadium, including 16 home games and three road games against the St. Louis Cardinals.
 
In their 12th spring at Roger Dean Stadium, the Marlins are currently slated to play 33 exhibition games, the first coming on Wednesday, February 26, hosting the University of Miami at 1:05 p.m. The Marlins will then host Florida International University on Feb. 27 at 1:05 p.m., before opening up their Grapefruit League schedule on Feb. 28 against the Cardinals at 1:05 p.m. Overall, the Marlins will play a total of 31 Grapefruit League games, with home games in Jupiter against the Cardinals (three times), Mets (three times), Nationals (twice), Astros (twice), Twins (March 4), Red Sox (March 6), Tigers (March 9), and Braves (March 12).
 
Marlins pitchers and catchers will have physicals on February 16 and will hold their first on-field workout that afternoon. The first full-squad workout will take place in the afternoon on February 20, following morning physicals for position players.
