January 23rd, 2019

MIAMI -- Before the Marlins' pitchers and catchers report for Spring Training, South Florida baseball fans will have the chance to interact with the players and staff at the annual FanFest.
The organization announced Wednesday that FanFest at Marlins Park will be held on Feb. 9 from 3-7 p.m. ET. Admission is free.
The annual event will lead in to Spring Training opening with pitchers and catchers workouts on Feb. 13 at the Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium complex in Jupiter, Fla. Full-squad workouts begin on Feb. 18.
FanFest is a chance for fans to meet the Marlins' players, coaching staff and front-office members, as well as take part in baseball-related events. Fans will have a wide range of activities in which to participate throughout the day, including playing catch on the field, running the bases in the Diamond Dash and hitting in batting cages on the West Plaza.
There will be kids' activities and a DJ at The 5th Base, as well as Comunidad 305 fan auctions and a fireworks show. Live music will be played on the West Plaza stage, and Marlins players will be available for autographs, meet-and-greets and selfie opportunities.
Opening Day at Marlins Park will be on March 28 against the Rockies at 4:10 p.m. ET.
