Marlins Ayudan hosts annual Special Olympics softball clinic at Gulliver Preparatory School

MIAMI - (October 31, 2013) -Marlins Ayudan has teamed up with Special Olympics to host a softball clinic in preparation for their state competition. The event will be held at Gulliver Preparatory School (6575 N Kendall Drive) on Monday, November 4th from 10 A.M. until 12:45 P.M. This is the 4th year Marlins Ayudan, Special Olympics and Gulliver Preparatory School have partnered together in hosting the Softball Clinic.

The athletes participating will represent G. Holmes Braddock, Southridge Sr. High School, City of Miami, Our Pride Academy and the City of Doral. All five delegations represent the teams who will advance to the state competitions on November 15 - 17 at ESPN Wide World of Sports.

The clinics will be divided into skills stations which include, fielding, throwing and hitting. Skills stations will be led by members from Marlins Ayudan team Pulse as well as Juniors and Seniors from Gulliver's Varsity Baseball and Softball teams.

Day of event breakdown below:

9:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. - Buses arriving from participating delegations
10:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. - Skills stations
10:45 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. - Break for lunch
11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. - Two games to be played simultaneous using both ends of the field at Gulliver.
