Marlins extend manager Mike Redmond through 2017

**Major League coaching staff will all return for 2015**

WASHINGTON D.C. - The Miami Marlins today announced that manager Mike Redmond had his contract extended through the 2017 season. In addition, the Club announced that the entire Major League coaching staff will return for the 2015 season. The announcement was made by Marlins' President of Baseball Operations Michael Hill.

Redmond, 43, was named manager prior to the 2013 season, signing a three-year contract at that time. The Marlins entered today's final game with 77 wins, a fifteen-game improvement on the 2013 campaign, as the team became just one of three National League teams since the division split in 1969 to win 77 or more games following a 100-loss season, joining the 1986 Giants (83 wins) and the 2005 Diamondbacks (77 wins). Also, the team was 42-39 at Marlins Park this season, posting its first winning home record since 2010.

Redmond's coaching staff will all return for the 2015 season. Those coaches are: bench coach Rob Leary, pitching coach Chuck Hernandez, hitting coach Frank Menechino, first base/infield coach Perry Hill, third base/outfield coach Brett Butler, and bullpen coach Reid Cornelius.
