LeBlanc tosses four shutout frames as Marlins cruise

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Marcell Ozuna drilled a three-run home run and Chone Figgins enjoyed a four-hit performance as the Marlins got the best of Tim Hudson and rolled to a 10-2 win over the Braves at Champion Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Ozuna's opposite-field home run highlighted the three-run first inning against Hudson, who allowed six earned runs and nine hits in five innings. The veteran Braves pitcher hit two batters, including Christian Yelich to begin the game, and found the strike zone with just 55 of his 97 pitches.

Marlins starting pitcher Wade LeBlanc proved to be much more efficient, as he scattered five hits and did not issue any walks over four scoreless innings. The left-handed LeBlanc's move to first base baffled B.J. Upton, who was picked off twice in the first five innings.

Figgins singled in the three-run first inning and drove in two runs with a bloop single that landed just beyond shortstop Elmer Reyes' reach with two outs in the second.

After an inside fastball brushed Ozuna's jersey in the fifth, Chris Coghlan followed with a double that highlighted his three-hit performance. Nick Green then hit into fielder's choice that scored Ozuna with the final run charged to Hudson.

One of the game's top outfield prospects, Yelich added to his team's offensive onslaught with a two-run home run in the seventh inning. Consecutive singles by Upton and Dan Uggla helped the Braves score their first run of the game in the seventh.

Up Next: Right-hander Kevin Slowey will continue his bid to earn the fifth spot in the rotation when he starts against the Red Sox Monday at Roger Dean Stadium at 1:05 p.m. ET. Left-hander Jon Lester is expected to get the start for the Red Sox.
