MIAMI -- An already short-handed Marlins rotation lost another arm for the time being, as left-hander Adam Conley landed on the disabled list Sunday with a sore left hand, the team announced before their 5-4 win over the White Sox.
Conley said he's been dealing with the sore hand his last three starts, ever since banging it on the top of the dugout at Wrigley Field in early August. He allowed five runs in four innings to the White Sox in Chicago's 8-7 win Saturday.
"They've got the dugouts that you can barely stand up in," Marlins manager Don Mattingly said. "So that's just kind of gotten sore in that inflammation."

The club announced Conley has tendinitis in his left middle finger, which has hindered his grip and hurt his velocity. The 26-year-old owns a 9.00 ERA over his last three outings.
"We've been trying to figure out a way to skip him to get [Conley] a breather," Mattingly said. "We've felt like he's been dragging a little bit. I know he wouldn't say that but we've just seen velocities and things like that. We thought it would be a good time to do that with this little bang-up."
It's a tough blow to the Marlins' pitching staff that will already be without Wei-Yin Chen until at least mid-September. José Fernández and Tom Koehler are currently the lone starters from Miami's original five-man rotation.
The Marlins are planning on bringing up a starter from the Minor Leagues to start on Tuesday at Cincinnati. José Ureña, at New Orleans, is expected to get that call. And the club now plans on going with Fernandez on Thursday at the Reds, after the Marlins skipped his Sunday start to conserve his innings. Initially, the Miami ace was lined up for Friday at Pittsburgh.
In corresponding moves, the Marlins selected the contract of infielder Robert Andino and recalled lefty reliever Hunter Cervenka from Triple-A New Orleans. Right-hander Cody Hall was released.
Andino, who last played in the big leagues in 2013, played second and went 1-for-3 on Sunday against the White Sox, with Dee Gordon getting a day off.

Andino, 32, was hitting .267 in 108 games at New Orleans.
"It's a blessing, no doubt," Andino said. "Just playing the game I've been playing all my life. Trying to stay healthy, and it'll work out how it should. Just keep playing and keep moving forward."
Cervenka, a lefty reliever optioned on Tuesday, has made two appearances with Miami since being obtained in a trade with the Braves.
With both Conley and Giancarlo Stanton going down with injuries, Mattingly said his club will still have to find ways to win games.
"Nobody is going to feel sorry for us," Mattingly said. "Everybody has injuries. Every team that I've ever been involved with has things that they have to overcome."
