Marlins select outfielder Johnson in 11th round

The Marlins led off Day 3 of the 2013 MLB First-Year Player Draft by selecting outfielder Coco Johnson with the 322nd overall pick.

Miami's 11th-round pick was a big bat in Louisville's lineup, leading the Cardinals with 50 RBIs during his junior season. He also hit eight home runs, batted .332 and boasted the team's second-best on-base percentage at .431.

He also possesses good speed on the base paths, stealing 21 bases in his first year as a Cardinal and swiping 35 in two seasons at Central Arizona College.

Johnson, a member of the 2013 All-Big East second team, brings another quality outfield bat to an organization that already has Christian Yelich and Jake Marisnick waiting in the wings.

Johnson was the third outfielder taken by the Marlins in this year's Draft.
