Marlins add righty reliever Guerra to mix
Mattingly managed 31-year-old when they were with Dodgers
MIAMI -- Along with pursuing some established relievers, the Marlins have also completed a more low-profile deal. The team on Saturday signed right-hander Javy Guerra, who has 30 big league saves, to a Minor League contract with an invitation to Spring Training.
Guerra, 31, previously pitched for Miami manager Don Mattingly when the two were with the Dodgers. In 2011, the righty saved 21 games in 23 chances with Los Angeles.

Guerra has 153 MLB relief appearances, including seven with the Angels in 2016.
From 2011-13, Guerra was with the Dodgers, and his rookie year was his most productive. That year, he was 2-2 with a 2.31 ERA, and he posted a career high in games (47) and innings (46 2/3).
In 2012, Guerra got a scare when a line drive off the bat of Brian McCann struck him in the face. He lost his closing job to Kenley Jansen that year.
Guerra was with the White Sox in 2014-15. While in the Minor Leagues in '15, he was suspended 50 games for being in violation of the league's drug policy.
