Miami Marlins to host annual M.V.P. internship job fair on October 28 at Marlins Park

The internship program is a signature Corporate Social Responsibility offering of the Marlins that positively contributes to the development of young professionals in the community.

The Miami Marlins will be hosting the annual Marlins Valuable Professionals (M.V.P.) Internship Job Fair on Wednesday, October 28 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Marlins Park. The M.V.P. Internship Program aims to offer young leaders in the community an opportunity to enhance their academic and professional development at Marlins Park. Marlins' interns gain high-level work experience, while applying their academic preparation in various departments that support the Major League Baseball team.

"Since moving to Marlins Park, we have hired over 125 interns," said Ana Hernandez, Marlins Vice President of Human Resources. "We strongly believe in giving young people opportunities to be successful in the careers they seek."

Currently, there are 45 members of the Marlins front office who began as interns with the organization. Many others have found employment in South Florida as a result of their involvement with the program.

All internship positions will be available beginning January 2016 and are paid positions that require full-time hours in addition to gameday responsibilities. Candidates, who must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible for employment, should bring several resume copies. Business attire is required.

The organization is looking to fill internship positions in the following areas: Accounting, Ballpark Operations, Baseball Operations, Broadcasting, Communications, Community Outreach, Corporate Partnerships, Creative Services, Digital and Social Media, Engineering/Audio Visual, Fan Loyalty, Information Technology, Marketing and Promotions, Marlins Foundation, Retail Operations, Sales and Customer Service, Security, Ticket Operations, Turf Management and Video Production.
