Koehler, Fernandez excited for Wrestling Night at park

MIAMI -- Hours before Saturday night's game between the Marlins and Rockies, ballpark personnel began setting up a ring on the west plaza of Marlins Park for Legends of Wrestling Night.

Starter Jose Fernandez, who enjoys watching the postgame fireworks and concerts, said he would be doing the same when the wrestling legends put on a show for the Saturday Spectacular following the game.

Right-hander Tom Koehler visited the ring, practicing moves from his childhood, such as The Rock's "People's Elbow" and Stone Cold Steve Austin's "Stone Cold Stunner."

"I ran in the ring about an hour ago and jumped around in there and it hurt a little bit and I wasn't getting hit by anything," said Koehler, who grew up a fan of Hulk Hogan and Austin. "Obviously it takes a lot of skill and practice to do what they do."

From the wrestling world, the Nasty Boys (Brian Knobbs and Jerry Sags), Goldberg and The Hart Foundation (Bret the Hitman Hart, Jim the Anvil Neidhart, Jimmy Mouth of the South Hart) were among those in attendance.
