Kemp homers into batter's eye in Monterrey
MONTERREY, Mexico -- Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp answered Eric Hosmer's first-inning two-run homer with a massive second-inning solo shot into the batter's eye in Saturday's game against the Padres. It cut into the Padres' lead, although the Dodgers eventually lost, 7-4.
It was Kemp's fifth home run of the season and it came off Padres right-hander Bryan Mitchell. Although Kemp is batting 150 points higher against left-handed pitching, four of his home runs have come off right-handers.
