LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Thunderstorms interrupted yet another solid Grapefruit League outing for Matt Wisler on Thursday night.
The Braves right-hander threw 3 1/3 scoreless innings against the Phillies before the game was cancelled due to rain at ESPN's Wide World of Sports complex. He allowed two hits and walked two.
"Three solid innings," Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez said. "I thought he pitched really good."

Wisler, Atlanta's projected No. 3 starter, didn't throw on the side after the initial delay, but he said he didn't expect his low pitch count -- he only threw around 30 -- to hinder his progression toward being ready for the regular season.
"Threw some pretty good pitches today, I thought," Wisler said. "Got the ball on the ground, which is a good thing -- means I kept it down in the zone. Just have some small things to clean up right now to be ready."
Odds and ends
• Hector Olivera is known more for his bat than for his glove, and many expect the Braves to need a late-inning defensive replacement for him in left field. Olivera made two nice plays Thursday, however, one a running catch near the left-field line and another one where he had to backpedal.
"It was funny, because we talked in the [staff] meeting today and we were talking about certain situations, certain guys who you feel comfortable [with], and they asked me about Olivera playing left field," Gonzalez said. "I said, 'From what I've seen right now, he's not a complete defensive substitution at the end of the game.'
"Obviously you have to let it play out and see what happens, but right now, I feel he's gotten better the whole spring."
• Other pitchers originally scheduled to pitch Thursday, including Dan Winkler and Jason Grilli, will pitch in one of Friday's split-squad games, Gonzalez said.
