Mattingly wins challenge at first base in sixth
Ethier ruled safe after call overturned on replay review
CINCINNATI -- Dodgers manager Don Mattingly successfully challenged a force play at first base in the sixth inning.
Andre Ethier hit a chopper to second with one out and a runner at first. Brandon Phillips knocked the ball down, recovered and threw to first, where Ethier was called out by first-base umpire Seth Buckminster.
Mattingly left the dugout and called for a replay review, and after two minutes and four seconds, the call was overturned and Ethier was ruled safe. The next batter, Justin Turner, hit an RBI single to right field, which ended Reds right-hander Mike Leake's night.
