Pittsburgh Pirates All-Star outfielder Andrew McCutchen had quite the day Friday. He documented his afternoon with Nick, a young fan who was granted his wish through the Make-A-Wish foundation, prior to kicking off a series against the New York Mets.

Nick’s day was already made when he met McCutchen in the lobby of PNC Park, but his afternoon was far from over.

Nick played catch with McCutchen on the field and also spent time hanging with his idol in the dugout.

His good deeds were rewarded later that evening when he came up with a huge stolen base and scored the winning run in the 11th inning.

But that was far from the most important part of his day.
