Army Staff Sergeant Ty Carter threw out the ceremonial first pitch before the San Diego Padres-San Francisco Giants game on Monday. Sergeant Carter, who was recently awarded the prestigious Medal of Honor for his bravery in Afghanistan, praised the Padres' ability to honor the true heroes with their Sunday salutes and their local efforts.
