Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo, playing for Team Italy in the 2017 World Baseball Classic, was forced to leave Sunday's Pool D matchup against Puerto Rico -- a 9-3 loss for Italy. After the game, Italy manager said Nimmo has a grade 1 right hamstring strain.

Nimmo, who is expected to miss a few weeks, was removed from the game in the bottom of the fifth after trying tracking down a run-scoring triple from Dodgers utility man Enrique Hernandez. Playing center field, Nimmo came up lame as he chased the ball in the right-center gap. Nimmo was able to walk off the field under his own power.
