Mets vets mash four homers to top Marlins

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- The Mets' spring power surge continued on Monday, when the team clubbed four home runs en route to a 6-4 win over the Marlins.
, and hit solo homers, and added a two-run shot to provide most of the Mets' offense.
Though Tim Tebow did not hit one over the fence, he singled off in the fifth inning for his first Grapefruit League hit.

Miami's offense surged in the fourth inning, when doubled home a run against and added a two-run homer. Battling bronchitis, Syndergaard recorded just one out in the fourth inning after breezing through the first three without issue.

Marlins starter gave up four hits in four innings, but three of them were solo homers. He struck out two and walked none.
The game was delayed 20 minutes in the eighth inning due to rain, which passed quickly out of the area.
