WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Matt Harvey will make his long-awaited Grapefruit League debut on Sunday when the Mets host the Cardinals at 1:05 p.m. ET on MLB.TV at First Data Field.
Harvey looks to rebound from a 2016 season that was cut short in July by surgery that involved removing a rib to correct his thoracic outlet syndrome.
The right-hander looks to put that behind him, beginning Sunday.

"There's no guarantee surgery is going to work," Mets manager Terry Collins said. "We just want to get them back out there. That's why we took it slow in Spring Training, make sure that everybody is OK and that we didn't overdo it.
"So far, with what we've seen out of the first group of guys, it looks good."
On Saturday, made a very successful return from surgery after he was shut down in late 2016. In the Mets' 3-1 win over the Astros, he worked two perfect innings, striking out three. Harvey looks to follow in those footsteps on Sunday.
"He's had some very, very good [bullpen sessions]," Collins said. "I don't want him to overthrow. I just want him to get out there and get himself in some rhythm where he throws strikes.
"I know that he feels good about where he's at right now, and I just want him to carry it into tomorrow."
