Top prospect Syndergaard hosting Twitter Q&A

Mets right-hander to take over @MLBFutures account on Wednesday

In his first season in the Mets organization, right-hander Noah Syndergaard established himself as the Mets' top prospect. He started the Futures Game for the U.S. team and is ranked the No. 11 prospect in baseball in MLB.com's just-released 2014 Top 100 Prospects list.

During the 2013 season, Syndergaard pitched well at both Class A Advanced St. Lucie and Double-A Binghamton. He posted a combined 3.06 ERA and struck out 133 batters in 117 2/3 innings. He is on the cusp of joining young Mets pitchers such as Zack Wheeler and Dillon Gee in Queens.

Now, as the season approaches, Mets fans will have an opportunity to participate in a Twitter Q&A session with the 20-year-old pitcher, who will take over the @MLBFutures account on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET.

To participate in Syndergaard's chat, fans simply need to follow @MLBFutures and tweet questions using the #AskFutures hashtag.

Also, @MLBFutures followers who retweet this tweet will be entered into a drawing to win an autographed baseball from Syndergaard.
