Top prospect Syndergaard hosting Twitter Q&A

Mets right-hander to take over @MLBFutures account on Wednesday

In his first season in the Mets organization, right-hander Noah Syndergaard established himself as the Mets' top prospect. He started the Futures Game for the U.S. team and is ranked the No. 11 prospect in baseball in's just-released 2014 Top 100 Prospects list.

During the 2013 season, Syndergaard pitched well at both Class A Advanced St. Lucie and Double-A Binghamton. He posted a combined 3.06 ERA and struck out 133 batters in 117 2/3 innings. He is on the cusp of joining young Mets pitchers such as Zack Wheeler and Dillon Gee in Queens.

Now, as the season approaches, Mets fans will have an opportunity to participate in a Twitter Q&A session with the 20-year-old pitcher, who will take over the @MLBFutures account on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET.

To participate in Syndergaard's chat, fans simply need to follow @MLBFutures and tweet questions using the #AskFutures hashtag.

Also, @MLBFutures followers who retweet this tweet will be entered into a drawing to win an autographed baseball from Syndergaard.
