Mets recall Robles, option Bradford

July 16th, 2017

NEW YORK -- Just hours after tossing two innings and allowing two runs on three hits in the Mets' 13-4 loss to the Rockies on Sunday, reliever Mets reliever was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas. The team recalled in a corresponding move.
Bradford, a 27-year-old right-hander, had allowed five runs over six innings in five appearances after being used infrequently out of the bullpen since he was called up on June 22.
Robles had established himself as a key piece in middle relief for the Mets over the past couple of seasons, but he struggled in 2017. The Mets sent him to the Minors, and after faltering there for a time, he rebounded with scoreless efforts in seven of his past eight outings (11 innings).
