NEW YORK -- Already running short on players, the Mets have another injury concern. Left fielder Yoenis Cespedes left Thursday night's 6-4 loss to the Phillies after the fifth inning with a left hamstring problem and will undergo an MRI on Friday morning.
The Mets will know more after the MRI, but Cespedes said doctors told him he will likely be out two to three days.
"It's not a cramp," Cespedes said through an interpreter. "It felt like a shock. I've had this type of injury before. This time it doesn't feel as serious."
Any injury feels serious for the Mets, who played Thursday without Lucas Duda and Wilmer Flores. The Cespedes injury likely ensures that the Mets will need to make at least one roster move before they begin a key series with the Nationals on Friday night at Citi Field.

Cespedes pulled up running to second base in the bottom of the fifth. He walked to lead off the inning and was erased when Jay Bruce followed by grounding into a double play. Juan Lagares replaced Cespedes when the Mets took the field for the sixth, with Lagares playing center field and Michael Conforto moving to left.

"Any time you're talking about a hamstring, it's a concern," Mets manager Terry Collins said. "When you talk about a hamstring and a guy like that, with his muscle strength, you've got to be careful."
Cespedes had one hit in two at-bats Thursday. He is tied with Bruce for the Mets' team lead with six home runs and has 10 RBIs.
