Marisnick keeps rolling with five RBIs in Triple-A win

Outfielder Jake Marisnick, the Marlins' No. 3 prospect, collected four hits and drove in five runs Thursday, as Triple-A New Orleans defeated Round Rock, 16-9. His four hits matched his career high.

Marisnick, ranked No. 55 on MLBPipeline.com's Top 100 Prospects list, finished the night 4-for-5 with a home run, a triple and three runs. He extended his hitting streak to 11 games, during which he is hitting .395.

Marisnick has recovered from a rough start to the season. He hit .182 with a .511 OPS in 26 games in April, but has turned his season around this month. In 26 games in May, he is hitting .340 with an .884 OPS.

The Marlins acquired Marisnick from the Blue Jays in November 2012 as a part of their massive trade with the Blue Jays. He made his Major League debut last July, but he has spent all of this season in New Orleans. He is hitting .259 with four home runs and 11 stolen bases for the Zephyrs.
