Miami Marlins set to host the Blue Jays, Cardinals, Phillies

Homestand to feature Concerts, Special Events, Promotions and More

MIAMI -The Miami Marlins are ready to take on the Toronto Blue Jays (June 22-24), St. Louis Cardinals (June 25-27), Philadelphia Phillies (June 29-July 1) at Marlins Park. The nine-game homestand will feature three fan giveaways (first 5,000 kids will receive a Heath Bell Kids Replica Jersey courtesy of UHealth on June 24, the first 15,000 guests will receive a Josh Johnson Bobblehead courtesy of Preferred Care Partner on June 27, the first 5,000 kids 12 and under will receive a Marlins Stars and Stripes kids Bucket Cap courtesy of Pepsi on July 1)  and several special events, concerts, post and pre-game West Plaza parties for all fans, and special promotions including Marlins All You Can Eat Special for just $24 on June 25, including a Vista Level ticket and all you can eat hot dogs, peanuts, popcorn, nachos, sodas and water, and on June 26 fans can get the Marlins 4 for $54 Pack, including 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 sodas and 4 bags of chips for $54.
 
Starting Friday, June 22, the Marlins will conclude interleague play against the Toronto Blue Jays. First pitch is set for 7:10 P.M. at Marlins Park. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy the pre-game party on the West Plaza, plus fans can enjoy a public autograph session with a Marlins Player from 6 P.M. to 6:20 P.M. Fans are encouraged to stay after the game and enjoy a concert on the West Plaza with The Spam Allstars, presented by Heineken Light. The three-game series continues on Saturday, June 23 at 1:10 P.M. with a post-game party for the entire family on the West Plaza. This Saturday will feature pre-game entertainment on the West Plaza from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. and an autograph session with a Marlins player on the Promenade Level. On Sunday, June 24, the series against the Blue Jays will conclude. First pitch is set for 1:10 P.M. The first 5,000 kids get a Heath Bell Replica Jersey courtesy of UHealth.  Pre-game fun will feature entertainment with Radio Disney AM 990, DJ Petey and the Energy Team. Also, as part of Snapshot Sunday fans can take photos with a Marlins player on the Promenade level from 12 P.M. to 12:20 P.M. Post-game entertainment will include Diamond Dash where kids can run the bases after the game.
 
Monday, June 25, the Marlins will host the St. Louis Cardinals. First pitch is set for 7:10 P.M. at Marlins Park. Military personnel with I.D. can claim their free tickets in honor of Military Mondays sponsored by Outback Steakhouse. Also, fans can get the Marlins All You Can Eat Special for just $24; includes a Vista Level ticket and all you can eat hot dogs, peanuts, popcorn, nachos, sodas and water. All You Can Eat seats in the Legends Level are also available for $34 each. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 P.M. On Tuesday, June 26 the series will continue with first pitch at 7:10 P.M. Fans can get the Marlins 4 for $54 Pack, including 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 sodas and 4 bags of chips for $54. On Wednesday, the series against the St. Louis Cardinals will conclude and the first 15,000 fans will get a Josh Johnson Bobblehead courtesy of Preferred Care Partners.
 
After an off day, the Marlins will host the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday, June 29. First pitch is set for 7:10 P.M. at Marlins Park. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy the pre-game party on the West Plaza, plus fans can enjoy a public autograph session with a Marlins Player from 6 P.M. to 6:20 P.M. Fans are encouraged to stay after the game and enjoy a Post-Game concert on the West Plaza with the band Suenalo, presented by Heineken Light. The series continues on Saturday, June 30 at 4:10 P.M. with Post-game activities on the West Plaza for all fans. This Saturday will feature pre-game entertainment on the West Plaza from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. and an autograph session with a Marlins player. On Sunday, July 1, the series will conclude. First pitch is set for 1:10 P.M. The first 5,000 kids get a Stars and Stripes Bucket Cap courtesy of Pepsi.  Pre-game fun will feature West Plaza entertainment with Radio Disney AM 990, DJ Petey and the Energy Team. THE LIL' DOBBERS: Greg Dobbs has donated 10 tickets to children from His House Children's Home. The kids will have the opportunity to attend a GAME AT Marlins Park, will receive a food voucher and Lil Dobber t-shirt, as well as attend a private meet and greet with Greg Dobbs in the Marlins Press Conference Room.
 
His House Children's Home is a non-profit Christian organization helping children and families in crisis through residential, foster and adoption services.

THE BUCK-A-ROOS: Voices for Children will be bringing 20-25 special needs children as part of the Buck-A-Roos program. John Buck will take part in a private meet and greet with the kids in the Media Press Conference Room.
 
The mission of Voices For Children Foundation is to raise funds to ensure that every abused and neglected child in Miami-Dade County has a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem and that financial assistance and other resources are available for their accompanying health, educational, and social needs.
 
50-50 RAFFLE: Every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday home game the Marlins Foundation partners with local non-profit organizations to host the 50/50 Raffle. The 50/50 Raffle Programs provides fans the opportunity to win 50% of the proceeds, with the other half of the proceeds benefitting the guest non-profit organization. DAWSON SCHOLARSHIP AWARD PRESENTATION: The Marlins Foundation along with the Marlins President, David Samson, Marlins Sr. Vice President of Communications and Broadcasting, PJ Loyello, and Hall of Famer Andre Dawson will present the a check for $5,000 to the 2012 Andre Dawson Scholarship recipient, Daniel Brey.
 
Andre Dawson was honored by David Samson with a scholarship in his name at Dawson's 2010 Hall of Fame Induction Luncheon. The Andre Dawson Scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior on the Southwest High School Varsity Baseball Team. Funded by the Marlins, this scholarship is awarded to a student athlete that will not be receiving an athletic scholarship but possess a desire to continue their education.
 
BASEBALL TOMORROW FUND EQUIPMENT DRIVE: Gaby Sanchez  along with teammate Emilio Bonifacio, are the spokespersons for the Marlins and Baseball Tomorrow Fund Equipment Drive that is held prior to the game on 6/30. He encourages fans to donate new and lightly used baseball and softball equipment that benefits RBI and other local teams in underserved communities in South Florida as well as the Dominican Republic. Gaby also holds a clubhouse collection having every one of his teammates contribute, collecting baseballs, batting gloves, gloves, bats, cleats, turfs. Fans who donate equipment will receive an autographed player card from either Bonifacio or Sanchez.

From the time the gates open until the end of the 4th  inning tickets can be purchased for a suggested donation of $3 per ticket, two for $5, five for $10, and 15 for $20, at Raffle Headquarters Section 23 and from volunteers throughout the ballpark. The winning number will be posted at Raffle Headquarters, Guest Services and at www.marlins.com/raffles.  Raffle host dates are still available. OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE MILITARY APPRECIATION DAY: On July 1st vs. the Phillies, the first 5,000 fans will receive a Miami Marlins bucket hat, courtesy of Pepsi.  Also, the Marlins and Outback Steakhouse will have special ceremonies honoring our troops.
 
DIAMOND DASH:  After every Marlins Family Sunday, kids 12 and under get to run the bases on the field in the Marlins Diamond Dash. We ask that children do not slide at any base or Home Plate for their own safety.  Billy's Bunch kids club members can present their 2012 membership card in order to move up to the Diamond Dash Fast Lane.

CELEBRATION CLUB: Marlins fans can display a personalized message on Marlins Vision for the home crowd to see for a donation to the Marlins Foundation. Personalized messages will be shown at the end of the 2nd inning of every Marlins home game.  Messages will run for the first 12 people who call the Marlins office to make a reservation or sign up at www.marlins.com/celebrationclub.  The cost is $75.00 per message, with all proceeds benefiting the Marlins Foundation.
