Miggy claims Tigers' postseason RBIs lead
Slugging third baseman passes Detroit icon Greenberg with Nos. 23, 24
DETROIT -- Miguel Cabrera spent most of the regular season earning comparisons to Hank Greenberg for his run production. His two-RBI game on Wednesday earned him a mark all his own, as he took the Tigers' postseason RBI mark from Greenberg's ledger.
Cabrera entered Game 4 of the American League Championship Series -- a 7-3 Detroit win over Boston that evened the ALCS at two games apiece -- tied with Greenberg with 22 RBIs as a Tiger. He added a pair of RBI singles in Game 4, driving in Torii Hunter on a two-out liner to center off Jake Peavy in the second inning before sending a ground ball through the middle in the fourth off Brandon Workman to drive in Austin Jackson.
"We won, and we had a lot of fun," Cabrera said afterward. "We need to come in tomorrow ready to play and try to get some run support."
