Miggy day to day with lower back tightness

DETROIT -- Tigers slugger left Saturday night's 12-11 walk-off win over the Twins with lower back tightness and is day to day, the club announced.
Cabrera, who was 1-for-3, was replaced by in the top of the seventh inning.
Tigers manager Brad Ausmus said after the game that Cabrera had soreness in his lower back and hip area, but in a position unlike where he normally feels it. The fact that it was a new location where Cabrera's feeling the pain could be cause for concern.
"He's day to day, but Miggy doesn't pull himself out of a game unless it's serious," Ausmus said. "We won't make a decision [tonight]. But there is probably a good chance he won't be in the lineup [Sunday]."
Ausmus said he'll check with Cabrera on Sunday morning to determine how he's feeling. If Cabrera doesn't play, it's likely that Hicks would slot in at first, or possibly if Hicks catches to give a day off.
Throughout what has been a difficult season for Cabrera, who is batting a career-worst .252, the veteran first baseman has remarked about playing through pain. He spent time on the disabled list in April with a right groin strain he sustained in a game against the Twins.
