Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera has been named both American League Player of the Week and AL Player of the Month for September/October.
The two-time Most Valuable Player Award winner and the 2012 Triple Crown winner batted .565 (13-for-23) with four home runs and 13 RBIs from Sept. 26 through Oct. 2. Over the final month-plus of the regular season, Cabrera hit .349/.439/.670 with 10 home runs and 27 RBIs.

The Player of the Week honor is the 15th in Cabrera's career, the most recent being for the week of May 22 this season. The Player of the Month honor is Cabrera's fifth; he last earned it for September 2014.
