Mike Carp Takes His Knuckler to the Mound

In the final inning of the Yankees blowout of the Red Sox, John Farrell decided not to deplete his bullpen anymore and put Mike Carp on the bump. Carp surprised the Fenway Faithful when he began floating knuckleballs at the Yankees. Though he walked five batters in the inning, Carp managed to allow only a single run.
What's crazier? Seeing Carp throw knucklers or seeing an NBA All-Star on the mound?
