Mike Napoli Turns Double Play with Ball Stuck in His Glove

Heads up play.

Mike Napoli made quite the play in the eighth inning of Friday night's game between the Red Sox and Tigers. With Miguel Cabrera on first and one out, Victor Martinez smashed a hard-hopper to the Boston first baseman. Napoli was able to pick the ball, but it was hit so hard that the ball partially tore through the webbing of Nap's glove and became stuck in the pocket. With the ball adhered to his glove, Napoli had only one choice, step on first and apply the tag to Miggy.

Hard hit balls have a way of finding places that they don't belong.
