MIAMI -- Rockies manager Bud Black was unable to manage Saturday night's 4-3 loss to the Marlins due to feeling "under the weather," according to the club.
In Black's absence, bench coach Mike Redmond took over the managerial duties. The Rockies expect Black, who arrived at the park on Saturday afternoon before feeling ill, to return for Sunday's 11:10 a.m. MT contest.
It marked the first time in his first year at the helm of the Rockies that Black couldn't manage the club.
Redmond managed in the same park he spent managing the Marlins from 2013-15. He went 155-207 in Miami, with his final game being a 6-0 loss to the Braves on May 17, 2015, at Marlins Park.
