OAKLAND -- Michael Trout launched his 35th home run of the season to put the Angels on the board in the fourth inning of their series opener against the A's on Tuesday night at the Coliseum.
Trout hammered a 3-1 fastball from Oakland right-hander Daniel Mengden to left-center field to give the Angels a 1-0 lead.
After his at-bat in the fourth, the 27-year-old center fielder was batting .500 (16-for-32) with four home runs and eight RBIs over his last 10 games.
