Three Seattle Mariners prospects represented well in Arizona Fall League, as their strong performances contributed toward the Peoria Javelinas dominant, 16-8, win over the Surprise Saguaros on Tuesday.
Ian Miller, the Mariners' No. 20 prospect, finished the game 1-for-3, including a three-run homer that was part of a six-run, sixth inning that gave Peoria the lead it held onto for the remainder of the game.

"It was great, you know, we won," Miller said after his team's win. "Brought some runs in, scored some runs and at the end of the day that's what it's all about."
Peoria followed its explosive sixth inning with eight more runs in the seventh inning, putting the game far out of reach from Surprise, with much help from its Mariners triad.
The Mariners' No. 2 prospect, Evan White, along with Miller and fellow prospect Chris Mariscal, combined for seven RBIs in the contest, and five of their team's 16 hits.
White finished the game 1-for-5 with two RBIs and Mariscal went 3-for-5 with a triple and two RBIs.
Coming into the game, Miller focused on his timing and bat-speed, which paid off in the form of a three-run homer and a win for his team.
"Mindset today was just trying to stay short and quick, you know, be on time," Miller said. "The past couple games just trying to get the feel for, you know, getting ready for a fastball. I was a little late. Today was about trying to stay up the middle, be on time and be short and quick."
Of the three Mariner prospects playing for Peoria this year, White has had the most consistent and productive stint in the AFL so far. In 22 at-bats, White is hitting .318 with nine RBIs.
Mariscal also performed well in the two games he's appeared in so far, batting .556 in his first nine fall league at-bats.
Surprise got off to a strong start behind Vladimir Guerrero Jr., the Toronto Blue Jays' No. 1 prospect. Guerrero Jr. finished the game hitting 3-for-4 with a double, three RBIs and a stolen base. Kansas City Royals' No. 2 prospect Khalil Lee went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBIs and three strikeouts.

However, Peoria's late-game rally, fueled in part by a few promising Seattle prospects, proved to be too much for Surprise to overcome. Milwaukee Brewer's No. 1 prospect Keston Hiura, had an explosive outing for Peoria, hitting 3-for-5 with a homer, triple, and five RBIs.
Tuesday's game was nice, but Miller hopes to contribute plenty more during the Fall League.
"That I can help a team win," Miller said when asked what he hopes to prove. "You know, a walk-on at a small Division-I school, a low-round draft pick can hang with the big boys. You know, just prove that I deserve to be here and that I can help a team win."
