Miller Park Homestand Highlights: May 4-13

Wisconsin Badgers Men's Basketball Team to be Honored on Monday; 5-County, 5-Day Celebration, Brewers Community Foundation Week, and BobbleHank Featured

MILWAUKEE, WI - The Milwaukee Brewers begin their second-longest homestand of the season on Monday, spanning 10 games, when they host the Los Angeles Dodgers for the start of a four-game series. The division-rival Chicago Cubs will make their first visit of the season to Miller Park for a three-game weekend series, which will be followed by a three-game interleague set against the Chicago White Sox - their first trip to Miller Park since the 2009 season.

The homestand gets started with the annual 5-County, 5-Day Celebration and Brewers Community Foundation Week, and continues with the Mother's Day BobbleHank giveaway on Sunday, May 10.
 
Brewers Community Foundation (BCF) Week begins on Monday, May 4. Returning for its sixth year, BCF Week features a week of activities at Miller Park to highlight the Foundation's charitable impact in the community. 
 
One of the highlights of BCF Week is the "Ultimate Auction," which takes place at Brewers.com/bcfweek through Tuesday, May 12 at 11:59 p.m. CT. Fans will have the opportunity to bid on and win one-of-a-kind memorabilia items and unique experiences. Fourteen exclusive packages are available, including a personal 30-minute one-on-one clinic with Hitting Coach Darnell Coles, a chance to win Chairman and Prinicpal Owner Mark Attanasio's five front row seats next to the Brewers dugout, the use of a suite at Miller Park for 20 guests and a chance for you and seven others to a win a personal tour of the Miller Park roof before the gates open. Brewers Community Foundation Week is highlighted by exciting events including jersey raffles, the chance to win signed memorabilia and treasure hunts. Each event will take place daily at the BCF Week tables located on the Field Level concourse next to Guest Relations (outside section 116). 
 
Monday, May 4 vs. Los Angeles Dodgers - 6:20 p.m.
UW Badgers Men's Basketball Team Honored - The University of Wisconsin men's basketball team will be honored on the field prior to the Brewers vs. Los Angeles Dodgers game. Wisconsin Head Coach Bo Ryan will lead many of the team's players and staff on the field for pregame recognition and a ceremonial first pitch. The on-field ceremonies will begin at approximately 5:55 p.m. In addition, Bucky Badger and the University of Wisconsin Marching Band will be present. The band will play for fans near the Home Plate Gate before the game and will perform the Star-Spangled Banner. Shatterproof to Fight Addiction - Shatterproof will host the "Shatterproof Challenge" in downtown Milwaukee where approximately 80 participants will rappel down the side of the Hilton Center. Brewers outfielder Logan Schafer will make a special appearance. At Miller Park, the Brewers will celebrate "Shatterproof Day" and Brewers Community Foundation will present a grant to the organization. Student Night - Every Friday home game, high school and college students can purchase $10 Terrace Reserved tickets and $15 Loge Bleachers tickets. West Allis-West Milwaukee Old Timers Baseball - West Allis-West Milwaukee Old Timers Baseball will host their annual fundraising event at West Allis Central High School. Brewers players Michael Blazek and Logan Schafer will participate in the Q&A session.
 
Autograph Saturdays for Kids presented by U.S. Bank® - Prior to five Saturday Brewers home games during the season, including Saturday's game against the Cubs, fans 14 and under can receive autographs from select Brewers players and coaches. Future dates include June 13 vs. Washington, July 18 vs. Pittsburgh and August 1 vs. Chicago-NL. Autograph sessions will begin shortly after gates open and last for approximately 20 minutes. Major League Baseball and Milwaukee Brewers are teaming up with Stand Up to Cancer and Susan G. Komen to raise awareness and support for the fight against breast cancer. Sunday's Honorary Bat Girl will participate in the ceremonial first pitch.

Beyond the Diamond - Strikeout Bullying Contest Winner - This season, the Milwaukee Brewers launched the Strike Out Bullying Essay Contest. Students from across the greater Milwaukee area submitted a one-page essay about what their school is doing to "Strike Out Bullying." On May 11, the winning entry from J.F. Cooper School will receive a grand prize, which includes visit from Brewers players, Brewers apparel, tickets, food vouchers and transportation to the game. Also, the contest winner, 8th grader Kayla Jimenez will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at that night's game.

RBI Athlete of the Month Honored - Each month, an RBI (Reviving Baseball in the Inner Cities) Athlete will be recognized for their dedication to academics, community involvement, leadership, reliability and monthly performance. On Wednesday, May 13, Leon Dewitt Finney IV from Milwaukee will be recognized as this month's RBI Athlete of the Month and will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
 
Sojourner Family Peace Center Dinner Delivery - As part of the Brewers Wives dinner delivery program, Brewers Wives will deliver a hot meal to the families at The Sojourner Family Peace Center. The Wives serve the meals to the families and provide gift bags filled with Brewers memorabilia.
