De Los Santos allows one hit over five innings at Lake Elsinore

Outfielders Nick Schulz and Nick Torres homered Monday night as Double-A San Antonio moved above .500 in the second half, and right-handed starter allowed one hit over five shutout innings as Class A Advanced Lake Elsinore continued its second-half surge.
But the news wasn't all good in the Padres' Minor League system.
, the right-handed pitcher acquired from Miami in the trade, felt shoulder discomfort while warming up before his start in the first game of a doubleheader for Class A Fort Wayne, and he departed the mound without making an official pitch. There were no immediate updates of the injury.
Right fielder Schulz (.283) was 1-for-3 with his fifth homer, four RBIs, a walk and two runs scored as the Missions defeated Corpus Christi, 10-4, in San Antonio in a game shortened to 7 1/2 innings by rain.
Torres (.280) was 3-for-4 with his sixth homer, two RBIs and two runs scored as San Antonio improved to 16-15 in the second half after a 22-48 first half.
Center fielder Franchy Cordero (.330) was 3-for-5 with a steal and two runs scored. Third baseman River Stevens (.256) was 2-for-4 with his third homer. First baseman Luis Tejada (.284) was 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Shortstop (.277) was 1-for-2 with a RBI.
Starting right-hander Kyle Lloyd (5-4, 3.73 ERA) allowed four runs on six hits with five strikeouts in seven innings to get the win. Left-handed reliever Kyle McGrath (1.30 ERA) allowed a hit with a strikeout in a scoreless inning.
At Lake Elsinore, De Los Santos (2-3, 5.40 ERA) issued two walks while allowing four hits with four strikeouts over five scoreless innings as the Storm (20-11, 52-49) defeated Lancaster, 4-3.
Left fielder Edwin Moreno (.253) was 2-for-4 with his 12th homer and drove in all four Storm runs. Catcher A.J. Kennedy (.297) was 1-for-3 with a run scored. Shortstop Javier Guerra (.204) was 1-for-3 with a run scored.
Right-hander Colby Blueberg (2.68) followed De Los Santos and allowed a run on two hits and two walks with a strikeout in 2 1/3 innings. Right-hander Phil Maton (1.71) allowed two runs on two hits and a walk with three strikeouts in 1 2/3 innings to get his sixth save.
