Phillies to open 2017 season in Cincinnati

Home opener vs. Nats on April 7; Phils to face AL West in Interleague Play

September 14th, 2016

PHILADELPHIA -- The Phillies open their 2017 season just like they opened their 2016 season.
They travel to Cincinnati, where they play the Reds in the season opener on April 3 at Great American Ball Park. The Phillies play their home opener April 7 against the Nationals at Citizens Bank Park. The Mets follow the Nationals into town to complete a six-game homestand.
Phillies' 2017 schedule
The Phillies play the Red Sox and American League West teams in Interleague Play. They host the Mariners (May 9-10), Red Sox (June 14-15), Astros (July 24-26) and A's (Sept. 15-17). They play on the road against the Rangers (May 16-18), Red Sox (Jun 12-13), Mariners (June 27-28) and Angels (Aug. 1-3).
2017 Phillies season ticket deposits
The Phillies have a few interesting stretches on the schedule:
• They play 16 of their final 19 games of the season at home.
• They play 16 of 21 games on the road from April 28 through May 21.
• They play 15 of 19 games on the road from Aug. 1 through Aug. 20. That stretch includes two West Coast trips. The first takes the Phillies to the Angels and Rockies. They return home to play the Mets in a four-game series (Aug. 10-13) before hitting the road again to play the Padres and Giants.
Fans looking to make a baseball road trip or two might want to consider a Dodgers-Cubs road trip in late April/early May, Seattle for a short two-game series in late June, the Angels-Rockies trip in early August or the San Diego and San Francisco road trip in mid-August.
The 2017 promotions schedule will be available at a later date.
The annual Phillies Phestival is scheduled for May 11.
Ticket information worth noting includes: six-game and three-game packs go on sale in late November, group tickets will go on sale in mid-December and individual tickets go on sale in February.
