MLB debuts new #Postseason spots under "Legends Are Born in October" theme
Bruce Springsteen's "Land of Hope and Dreams" featured in spot
Major League Baseball today debuted two new 30-second spots under the "Legends Are Born in October" #Postseason theme, featuring Bruce Springsteen's "Land of Hope and Dreams." The videos feature teams in Postseason contention - one highlighting American League Clubs and the other focusing on those in the National League - and will run across all Postseason broadcasters including TBS, FOX, MLB Network, as well as on MLB.com, throughout the Postseason. Additionally, the spots, created by Turner Sports, will run on in-stadium video boards in MLB ballparks.
The videos showcase compelling highlights from this year's MLB season, including two of the year's perfect games thrown by Matt Cain of the San Francisco Giants and Phil Humber of the Chicago White Sox, along with concert footage of Springsteen and the E Street Band performing the fan-favorite song. The spots also feature Andrew McCutchen, Chipper Jones, Derek Jeter, Josh Hamilton, Bryce Harper, Mike Trout and other MLB stars.
The 2012 MLB Postseason begins on October 5th with the first ever Wild Card Games presented by Budweiser. Both Wild Card Games will air exclusively on TBS.
